Education:
MA in Literary History from Aarhus University and PhD in Modern Culture from the University of Copenhagen.
Research field:
In my research of young people and youth life I focus mainly on young people's engagement and participation in art and culture. In recent years I have had a special interest in the lives of young people who are on the edge of ordinary education and employment, and how their encounters with art and culture affect their lives. I have previously done research in a cross field between education, democracy and globalization in relation to formal and informal education and I continuously draw on these perspectives in my current research.
I am interested in the following areas:
-
Art, culture, nature, sports and activism
-
Youth culture and creative expression
-
Belonging and participation
-
Trends and dilemmas in youth life
-
Youth on the margins of society, lives and living conditions
-
Education, democracy and globalization
